Blake is able to hear in his left ear, and attends a school for the deaf where he is a good student. He is able to speak. We do not know if Blake’s hearing could be helped with hearing aids, or a cochlear implant, but an evaluation here in the States would be so beneficial. He had a small cyst removed from his left eyelid in 2009, with no further issues. His development has been normal, and his intellectual development is the same as his peers. Blake had one seizure in 2013, was put on Depakene, and has not had another seizure since that first one. It is possible he could discontinue the medicine with no recurrence. Your doctor can advise you on this. Blake is very eager to have a family of his own. He admires his friends who have been adopted, and can’t wait until it is “his turn”! Blake has less than 2 years until he is no longer eligible for adoption. This smart, active, and happy boy needs a family soon! Video available!
